Superior Drummer 3 Alcest SpirInst Preset

This preset tries to recreate the drum tones of Alcest "Spiritual Instinct" album (2019), I got a request for it.

Useful for Blackgaze or modern Black Metal songs.

SDX used:

• Darkness SDX

I also made 10 macro controls to further customize the sound:

• Kick transient attack
• Snare transient attack
• Snare transient sustain
• Snare sample mix: turn it up to get a more relevant snare sample sound, turn it down to get a more natural sound. I made this macro because I realised that "Sapphire" has a more electronic/sampled snare drum sound than the other songs. If you prefer the "Sapphire" snare sound turn it up, otherwise turn it down
• Snare reverb level: snare bus reverb volume level, turn it up to get more reverb on the snare, turn it down to keep it drier
• Toms transient attack
• Toms reverb level: toms bus reverb volume level
• Reverb bus level: reverb volume level, turn it up to get more reverb on both the snare and the toms, turn it down to keep them drier
• Comp makeup gain: compression makeup gain on output. Turn it up to get a more compressed and powerful sound
• Output punch: punch on output. Turn it up to get an overall "punchier" sound
